Triggerbee doesn’t by default know what physical person a visitor represent. But when the visitor converts - that magic moment when an anonymous visitor interacts with your website, fills out a form, requests a proposal, buys a product, initiate a chat session, then they give away information about themselves, such as name, email address and or telephone number. This information can be added to the visitor and the session in Triggerbee, converting them to a Contact (a known person). Another efficient way of converting anonymous visitors to Contacts is when the subscribers to your email commmunication lands on the site. Using the unique tracking technology of Triggerbee, we can convert the visitors coming from email traffic to known Contacts so that you can track subscribers activity onsite.
We identify each unique visitor using cookies. So when the converted visitor comes back a few days later he is remembered and the actions of future sessions are added to his profile.
If the visitor clears cookies or uses a different device or browser the next visit will be considered a new unique visitor - unless we have an email address associated with that cookie which will lead to Triggerbee converting the visitor to a contact.
If a contact buys a new computer, uses several different browsers, using a phone and a computer Triggerbee will connect the different devices of the contact to give you a unified complete view of each contacts history. For every device /browser the visitor must convert again so that we know his identity.
