This free random coupon code generator lets you generate up to 50 000 unique coupon codes or vouchers with the click of a button. These codes can be used for promotions, vouchers, serial numbers, and importing unique discount codes to your e-commerce platform. You can even import them to marketing automation platforms like Klaviyo. It’s super easy to use:
Unfortunately, not all ecommerce platforms support uploading codes or sometimes require a plugin.
Below we have collected information about how to upload unique coupon codes to e-commerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, Bigcommerce, Magento, Prestashop, Centra, and Optimizely.
So. You’ve generated a bunch of unique codes and now you want to distribute them to your customers and website visitors. Here’s how you do it:
Step 1: Sign up for Triggerbee
Step 2: Create a new coupon set and upload your CSV with your unique coupon codes.
Step 3: Create a new campaign. In the editor, add the single-use coupon code block. Select your coupon set in the block settings.
Step 4: Add your targeting rules and publish it on your website.
Using unique coupon codes is smart because it helps in a few important ways. First off, unique codes make sure that each customer gets their own special discount. It can add both an element of exclusivity and urgency to your marketing, increasing the chances of someone making a purchase.
Secondly, unique codes add a layer of security. Imagine you have a secret password to enter a club. In the same way, unique codes act as a special ticket, making it harder for someone to misuse or copy the discount.
Unique coupon codes also help you keep track of things. Multiple unique coupon codes are usually called “coupon sets” which lets ecommerce platforms and promotion platforms like Triggerbee manage them in a better way.
For example, let’s say you’ve uploaded 1 000 codes in a coupon set in Triggerbee. When customers start redeeming their coupons, you can easily see how many codes you have left in your set.
Unique coupon codes can be used for any promotion where you need an extra layer of security (to prevent code sharing or abuse), or when you want to create a sense of exclusivity.
Here are some examples of promotions where you can use unique coupon codes:
Unique coupon codes can be used any time you need to distribute a discount code, but you generally want to keep them isolated to specific campaigns. You generally want to avoid using unique coupon codes for site wide sales, clearances, and during larger holiday sales like Black Friday. During these circumstances it’s better to use a short static coupon code that is easy to remember.
Coupon/discount codes come in two main types and both have pros and cons.
Main benefit: Security and usage limitations (one code applies to one purchase).
Main benefit: Easy to remember.
Unique codes provide high security but can be hard to remember. Static codes are more memorable but require careful selection and usage limitations to avoid exploitation.
If you’re running a sale with different discounts (like 15% or 40% off), make sure to use unique codes for each offer. Most brands just add numbers to a keyword, like SEASON15 or SEASON40, which can cause problems.
Using the same pattern makes it easy for savvy shoppers to guess and grab the biggest discount. This is a common “coupon hacking” trick, but you can avoid it by using different codes for each offer.
There are a bunch of coupon/deal sites that are known for keeping expired coupon codes for YEARS.
This can cause lots of people to use coupons even after the sale is over. While expired coupons are not redeemable, it’s not a critical business issue. However, users might feel “robbed” of a discount. Sometimes a customer just need a tiny discount as a nudge to get them to make the purchase.
It’s okay to reuse codes, but it’s important not to let them work all year. Be clear with customers about the expiration date, but don’t think they won’t try to use a discount you gave them a while ago – they will.

Bigcommerce
Magento
Magento allows you to create discount codes in bulk using two methods.
1. Import coupon codes using .txt
If you want to import a large amount of custom coupons at once you can upload them using a text (.txt) file in the Bulk Import Coupon Codes section.
In order to import a text file, make sure that your coupons are entered in a list format with one coupon per line.
Click the ‘Choose File’ button to select the text file and then ‘Import File’ to start the upload.
After the coupons are successfully imported a confirmation message will appear at the top of the Bulk import Coupon Codes section.
2. Paste coupon codes
If you only need to import a limited amount of custom coupons, you could simply enter them in the text area of the Import Coupon Code List section, or copy-paste them from another source like this coupon code generator.
Make sure you enter or paste the coupons using a list format with one coupon per line and click the ‘Import Coupons’ button to upload them.
After the coupon codes are successfully imported a confirmation message will appear at the top of the Import Coupon Code List section.
Prestashop
Prestashop does not offer native support to import unique discount codes. To import coupon codes in bulk in Prestashop, you need a plugin like Import voucher from CSV or Discounts / Coupon Manager.
Edit: Prestashop 1.5 seems to support importing unique discount codes.
